Word For Today : February 12, 2020: A Loveless church is a powerless church: You have not chosen Me...
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we didn’t choose Jesus, but He chose us. A “loveless” Church is a powerless church. A “Loveless church is a dead religious church.”
We can go through all the motions of Christianity and yet “without love, God’s love in us we are a useless nobody and a clanging bell.
We can talk about unity, working together, taking our cities for God, but without the Love displayed in Acts 2:42-46 we have nothing really. A loveless church is a powerless church. A loveless people are a Christian In Name Only People (CINO)
The church can take more marketing’s surveys, become a seeker friendly church, take the power of the cross out of the Gospel, try to remove the Baptism of the Holy Spirt and end up being as the Word says, “ a clanging bell and useless nobody.”
The world is not going to know we are His disciples by the sign, wonder and miracles. The ant-Christ spirit will work false signs and wonders to deceive many.
The one true sign and witness of the Gospel of the Kingdom is the “pure holy love “ of God ruling and reigning in Kingdom power in the hearts of His full grown sons and daughters.
1st Corinthians 14:1 Message Bibles “Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it—because it does. BECAUSE IT DOES!
NO GREATER... NO GREATER.. NO GREATER LOVE THAN THIS.. THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS! ARE WE GOD’S FRIENDS OR HIS ACQUAINTANCES? DO WE KNOW ABOUT GOD OR DO WE KNOW GOD?
WHAT DOES JESUS SAY?: John 15: Message Bible
11-15 “I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you.
This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you.
I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father.
16 “You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you.
17 “But remember the root command: Love one another.
AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, LOVE ONE ANOTHER!! JESUS SAID! PUT YOUR LIFE... Y OUR LIFE... YOUR LIFE... ON THE LINE FOR YOUR FRIENDS. DO WE?
ISN’T THAT POWERFUL... PUT YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE FOR YOUR FRIENDS. DO WE EVEN HAVE REAL “KONIA COVENANT FRIENDSHIPS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST IN COVENANT LOVE?
ARE OUR FRIENDSHIP BASED ON “WORKING TOGETHER” FOR “THE GREATER GOOD” OF OUR OWN IDEA OF LOVE, OR ARE THEY ROOTED IN THE PURE HOLY LOVE OF GOD FOR ONE ANOTHER.. THAT A MAN WOULD LAY HIS LIFE DOWN FOR HIS FRIENDS?
JESUS SAID, “WHO IS MY FAMILY? WHO ARE MY BROTHERS, MOTHERS AND SISTERS? HE ANSWERED, MY FAMILY, MY MOTHERS, BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE THOSE WHO “DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER.”
A NEW COMMAND I GIVE YOU. AS I HAVE LOVED YOU... LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
WHAT WE ARE SEEING IN HIS BODY? DO WE SEE EVERYONE STILL DOING THEIR OWN THING, HOLDING ON TO, AND TAKING CARE OF THEIR OWN LIVES, WHILE GOD’S HOUSE LAYS IN RUINS OUT OF THE LACK OF THE PURE HOLY LOVE?
HAVE WE DESERTED OUR FIRST LOVE AND OUR FIRST WORK IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD? I THINK WE “TRY” TO LOVE EACH OTHER, BUT “TRYING” WILL NEVER CUT IT.. HIS LOVE COMMANDS ARE JUST THAT.. COMMANDMENTS!
BELOVED, IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR, GOD IS OUTPOURING HIS PURE HOLY LOVE THAT WILL TRANSFORM US WITH HIS GLORY, BUT WE MUST MAKE IT OUR GREAT QUEST AND GREAT AIM AS PAUL WRITE IN 1 COR. 14:1.
WE MUST SEEK HIM LIKE NEVER BEFORE TO BE FILLED, CHANGED, TRANSFORMED AND EMPOWERED BY HIS PURE HOLY LOVE NOW WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME.
GOD FORBID, HE WOULD LABEL US AS HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS, BUT DENYING THE POWER THEREOF OR WRITE THE NAME “ICABOD” (THE GLORY OF THE LORD HAS DEPARTED) OVER WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE DOING?
GOD FORBID HE COME AND REMOVE HIS CANDLESTICK (THE SIGN OF HIS PRESENCE.. BECAUSE WE DESERTED HIM OUR FIRST LOVE!) REVELATION CHAPTER 2 SAYS HE WILL!
BELOVED, NOW IS THE TIME TO PURSUE AND DWELL IN, LIVE IN HIS LOVE AND HIS LOVE TO LIVE AND DWELL IN US AND MAKE IT OUR GREAT QUEST!
IF WE DON’T SEEK AND GET FILLED WITH THAT PURE HOLY LOVE OF GOD, WE WILL BECOME THAT VERY CHURCH THAT HAS A FORM OF GODLINESS, BUT DENIES THE POWER THERE OF.
WITHOUT GOD’S LOVE BURNING IN US, DIRECTING ALL WE DO, SAY OR SPEAK WE WILL BECOME USELESS NOBODIES, AND CLANGING BELLS? IS THAT WHAT WE DESIRE OR DO WE DESIRE THE KING AND HIS KINGDOM? THE KINGDOM OF PURE HOLY LOVE!
LET US ENDEAVOR TODAY TO SEEK THE LORD WHO IS LOVE IN A NEW WAY. LET US ASK HIM TO REMOVE EVERYTHING IN US THAT IS NOT THAT PURE HOLY LOVE OF GOD. LET US DWELL IN LOVE, LIVE IN LOVE, GET ARE ROOTS DOWN DEELY IN THAT LOVE.
I WILL CLOSE THIS POST WITH THE PRAYER OF THE APOSTLE PAUL IN EPHESIANS 3:
14 For this reason [grasping the greatness of this plan by which Jews and Gentiles are joined together in Christ] I bow my knees [in reverence] before the Father [of our Lord Jesus Christ],
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth [a]derives its name [God—the first and ultimate Father].
16 May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality],
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love,
18 be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love];
19 and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].
20 Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,
21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.
YOU DIDN’T CHOOSE ME, REMEMBER I CHOSE YOU, AND PUT YOU IN THIS WORLD TO BEAR FRUIT, FRUIT THAT WON’T SPOIL , AS FRUIT BEARERS....... WILL WE BEAR THE TRUE FRUIT OF KINGDOM LIFE OR CONTINUE TO BEAR WAX FRUIT OF A PRETEND CHRISTIAN LIFE.
