Word For Today: January 31, 2020: February’s outpouring of God’s pure holy love!
Beloved,
As I sit in the presence of the Lord this morning listening to His heartbeat, I keep hearing the words of Jesus, “LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU!”
I said to the Lord, “I want to Lord with all my heart.” Love one another as I have loved you. Then I felt the Holy Spirit say, “say it backwards.” AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
We are on the cusp of what the world would say would be the “month of love” February with Valentines days coming up. I am not writing about that day, but the fact this is when many people “think about demonstrating love” on one special day to their wives, husbands, children and those they love.
AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, LOVE ONE ANOTHER... What does that really mean from God’s heart and from His kingdom of pure holy love. I know in the church “we try “ to love each other, help each other” to the best we know how. We even try to show that love to the lost and those in need in various ways.
Yet, Beloved the Love of God, the Love that God loves us with fully is about to be seen in His mature remnant sons and daughters. It is a pure holy love that can’t be counterfeited. It is a love that is not conditional. It is the pure holy love of God.
February the “love of God” outpouring that began as a gentle shower in January, is going to increase into a steady rain to fill the hearts of those that are seeking God diligently for His love to fill them.
Yes, Beloved, the “in love” with Jesus is going to grow exponentially in those who are being drawn out of this worlds system of life and the religious system to truly know God intimately.
As I have written, I don’t believe we have seen at least in this country the “true pure holy love” filling a people that as they did in the book of Acts chapter 2 that totally transformed their life and priorities. I believe we will soon.
I am reminded of the words God spoke to Cain, “where is your brother?” Cain said anger filled, “am I my brother’s keeper.” This was after God spoke to him “Cain why are you so angry, if you do what is acceptable will you and your offering not be accepted.”
If you look at our nation today, anger is everywhere. It is in our politics, it is in the youth, it is in the school. There is more anger and hatred today then ever. Yes it is a sign of the times, but it is more.
Matthew 24:10-20 The Message (MSG)
9-10 “They are going to throw you to the wolves and kill you, everyone hating you because you carry my name. And then, going from bad to worse, it will be dog-eat-dog, everyone at each other’s throat, everyone hating each other.
11-12 “In the confusion, lying preachers will come forward and deceive a lot of people. For many others, the overwhelming spread of evil will do them in—nothing left of their love but a mound of ashes.
13-14 “Staying with it—that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be saved. All during this time, the good news—the Message of the kingdom—will be preached all over the world, a witness staked out in every country. And then the end will come.
Verse 12 King James says, “and the Love of the great body will grow cold.” He describes it as “everyone will be concerned only for themselves and their own needs.” Verse 10 says, “and then it will go from bad to worse, it will be DOG-EAT- DOG, EVERYONE AT EACH OTHER’S THROATS.
Even many in the house of God are demonstrating a Judas and Absalom spirit to turn against those they should be for. Is it a lack of prayer in the house of God that has caused this? Is it a lack of seeking God every day diligently? Yes and more.
Cain, “why are you so angry? Anger is rooted in the heart of selfishness of I can’t have what I want when I want it. This causes us to get angry and DEMAND OUR RIGHTS!
A heart of you owe me, and I demand you love me the way I want you to love me. I want to be first, my needs first, why should I help you? I worked for it!
Cain’s answer is powerful to reveal the condition of his heart, “AM I MY BROTHERS KEEPER?
Thank God for the second Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ. He did not say, “Am I my brother’s keeper! He said, AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, LOVE ONE ANOTHER. NO GREATER LOVE THAN THIS THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.
Beloved, this is not a NICE THEORY! THIS IS KINGDOM REALITY. THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS PURE HOLY LOVE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE AND JOY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.
JESUS DIDN’T SAY THIS IS MY OPINION THAT YOU OUGHT TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER. HE SAID, THIS IS MY COMMANDMENT. HE SAID, “IF YOU LOVE ME, YOU WILL OBEY ME, AND KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.
There is an outpouring of the Spirit of God in February coming to do the deepest work of love in us we have ever known. That love is going to begin supernaturally to uproot the remaining remnant of self-centeredness that remains so that his full grown sons and daughters will demonstrate the life of Jesus fully upon the earth.
Let the words of Jesus sink into our heart today from John 13: MSG
34-35 “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.”
Notice it is not an OPTION! It is a NEW COMMAND: LOVE ONE ANOTHER!!! In the message Bible it shares the scripture as God spoke it to me today: IN THE SAME WAY...IN THE SAME WAY... I LOVED YOU.... YOU.... YOU... LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
I wrote in the last post but it is worth repeating here what the love of God is to look like.
I john chapter 3 MSG
14 The way we know we’ve been transferred from death to life is that we love our brothers and sisters. (THIS IS THE PROOF WE HAVE PASSED OUT OF DEATH INTO LIFE... DO WE HEAR THAT BELOVED?)
15 Anyone who doesn’t love is as good as dead. Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know very well that eternal life and murder don’t go together. (DO YOU SEE ANY CONDITIONS HERE? ANYONE WHO DOESN’T HAVE LOVE IS AS GOOD AS DEAD... AS I HAVE LOVED YOU....LOVE ONE ANOTHER)
16 This is how we’ve come to understand and experience love: Christ sacrificed his life for us. This is why we ought to live sacrificially for our fellow believers, and not just be out for ourselves. THAT IS POWERFUL!
(PLEASE NOTE THE QUALITY OF WHAT THE LOVE OF GOD REALLY IS, WE OUGHT TO LIVE....SACRIFICIALLY.... SACRIFICIALLY.. FOR OUR FELLOW BELIEVER AND NOT JUST OURSELVES.)
Beloved, of the Lord, this is the very love in action we see in Acts 2:42-46. It says of the 3000 that just got saved and filled with the Spirit...
(THAT NO ONE CONSIDERED WHAT THEY HAD AS THEIR OWN.... BUT HAD EVERYTHING IN COMMON FOR THE ENTIRE BODY.... THOSE THAT HAD POSSESSIONS LAID IT AT THE APOSTLE FEET AND.... AND... THERE WAS NOT A NEEDY ONE... NOT ONE IN NEED... FOR EVERYONE WAS CARED FOR! AND GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS WERE WORKED AT THE HANDS OF THE DISCIPLES.... AND GOD.... AND GOD ADDED TO THIS CHURCH DAILY SUCH TO BE SAVED.)
This was not just a small thing recorded in the Bible to say, “oh that’s nice, that was then, this is now. THIS WAS RECORDED FOR US TO SEE WHAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD’S LOVE LOOK LIKES IN HIS BODY...
Verse 16: THIS IS WHY WE OUGHT TO LIVE SACRIFICIALLY FOR OUR FELLOW BELIEVERS.
John continues to teach us what the pure holy love should look like. At the end of the age the love of the great body is going to wax cold. It waxes cold because of the root of self-life, selfishness will begin to exert it’s full power over peoples heart where anger and hatred will reign when they don’t get what they want.
Jesus taught us what pure holy love must look like in a parable of the Good Samaritan where peoples hearts will grow cold. that would look like and what love really looks like.
Luke 10:25-37 The Message (MSG)
Defining “Neighbor”
25 Just then a religion scholar stood up with a question to test Jesus. “Teacher, what do I need to do to get eternal life?”
26 He answered, “What’s written in God’s Law? How do you interpret it?”
27 He said, “That you love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and muscle and intelligence—and that you love your neighbor as well as you do yourself.”
28 “Good answer!” said Jesus. “Do it and you’ll live.”
29 Looking for a loophole, he asked, “And just how would you define ‘neighbor’?”
30-32 Jesus answered by telling a story. “There was once a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho. On the way he was attacked by robbers. They took his clothes, beat him up, and went off leaving him half-dead. Luckily, a priest was on his way down the same road, but when he saw him he angled across to the other side. Then a Levite religious man showed up; he also avoided the injured man.
(THE PRIEST AND THE LEVITE SPEAK OF THE “END OF THE CHURCH AGE AND WHAT THE RELIGIOUS SPIRIT HAS DONE TO CAUSE MANY IN THE LORD’S BODY HEART TO WAX COLD IN LOVE, COMPASSION INSTEAD OF THE SELF SACRIFICING LOVE OF JESUS)
33-35 “A Samaritan traveling the road came on him. When he saw the man’s condition, his heart went out to him. He gave him first aid, disinfecting and bandaging his wounds. Then he lifted him onto his donkey, led him to an inn, and made him comfortable. In the morning he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take good care of him. If it costs any more, put it on my bill—I’ll pay you on my way back.’
(DID THE SAMARITAN ASK THE ONE LAYING THERE, WHY WERE YOU ON THAT ROAD, YOU KNOW ROBBERS ARE THERE? WHY SHOULD I HELP YOU, MAYBE GOD HAS TO TEACH YOU A LESSON IN COMMON SENSE? WHY WERE YOU WALKING THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?
NO, NO, NO! THIS WAS THE KINGDOM OF HOLY LOVE... NO GREATER LOVE THAN THIS THAT.A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS... WHO IS OUR NEIGHBOR? THE SAMARITAN WAS FILLED WITH GOD’S PURE LOVE AND DEMONSTRATED IT!
36 “What do you think? Which of the three became a neighbor to the man attacked by robbers?”
37 “The one who treated him kindly,” the religion scholar responded.
Jesus said, “Go and do the same.”
YES, BELOVED GO AND DO THE SAME.
John continues to share with the heart of pure holy love. It is not about “what we should do” it is about WHAT DO WE SEE? DO WE HAVE KINGDOM EYE SIGHT THAT IS FILLED WITH HIS PURE HOLY LOVE?
17 If you see (NOTICE IT SAYS, IF YOU SEE.... IF YOU SEE) some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God’s love? It disappears. And you made it disappear.
WOW, WOW, WOW, (IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO DO SOMETHING BUT GIVE THEM A COLD SHOULDER AND DON’T HELP... WHAT HAPPENS TO GOD’S LOVE? ISN’T THAT WHAT THE PRIEST AND LEVITE DID? IT DISAPPEARS.... AND YOU MADE IT.... WOW, WOW, WOW.
IT IS A CHOICE ISN’T IT? IT IS A CHOICE TO BE FILLED WITH THE LOVE OF JESUS AND TO LOVE EACH OTHER AS HE HAS LOVED US OR NOT?
Doesn’t it make sense now that Jesus said at the end of age in Matthew 24, that the love of the great body will, WILL GROW COLD! What does cold look like?
The priest and the Levite in the parable of the Good Samaritan THEY WERE BLIND. THEY COULD NOT SEE FROM THE HEART OF GOD OR HIS KINGDOM. THEY JUST WALKED BY.
BELOVED, HAS OUR LOVE WAXED COLD? ARE WE HOLDING UNTO OUR LIVES OR GIVING THEM UP SACRIFICIALLY AS JESUS DID FOR US? LET US EXAMINE OUR HEARTS IN THE HOLY SPIRIT’S PURE HOLY LIGHT.
John write more to us and the title of the next 3 verses in the Message Bible reads:
When We Practice Real Love
18-20 My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality.
(AGAIN, THIS IS POWERFUL, AND WHAT FEBRUARY IS GOING TO RELEASE IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO RECEIVE THE SHOWERS AND RAIN OF GOD’S HOLY LOVE IN A NEW DIMENSION. LET US NOT JUST TALK ABOUT LOVE.... LET US PRACTICE LOVE..
THIS IS THE ONLY WAY.... THE ONLY WAY.. WE’LL KNOW WE ARE TRULY LIVING... LIVING IN GOD’S REALITY.. TRUE KINGDOM REALITY..
Beloved, we must ask ourselves in the light of the Holy Spirit, are we living the kingdom reality life of God’s pure holy love? Do we desire to? Then there is only one ways to do so, AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
AS I LOVED YOU, IS THE KEY: JOHN 15: 10-15 MSG
10 “I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love. (BELOVED THIS IS THE KEY, WE MUST DWELL, AND MAKE LIVING AND RECEIVING GOD’S LOVE OUR GREAT QUEST AND AIM AS 1ST COR 14:1 SAYS)
If you keep my commands, you’ll remain intimately at home in my love. That’s what I’ve done—kept my Father’s commands and made myself at home in his love.
(DO WE HEAR THESE WORDS BURNING FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD? IF YOU KEEP MY COMMANDS.... LOVE ONE ANOTHER.. AS I HAVE DONE. AND MADE MYSELF AT HOME IN HIS LOVE. THAT IS THE KEY.. WE MUST TODAY CHANGE OUR DIRECTION, OUR PRIORITIES, AND PURSUE THE “IN LOVE” RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD AS OUR VITAL NEED)
11-15 “I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love.
(W0W.. LOVE ONE ANOTHER THE WAY I HAVE LOVED YOU.. THIS IS THE BEST... BEST.. BEST WAY TO LOVE. DO YOU WANT THAT BELOVED OF THE LORD?)
Put your life on the line for your friends. WOW!
(TO ME THIS SAYS IT ALL WHAT THE TRUE PURE HOLY LOVE OF GOD WORKED IN US DOES. THIS IS THE POWER OF LOVE WE SEE IN ACTS 2:42-46.
THE RESULT WAS NO ONE HAD A NEED, GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS WERE DONE BY THE APOSTLES HANDS, AND GOD ADDED TO THE CHURCH DAILY TO BE SAVE.. IS THAT NOT GOOD FRUIT, A FRUIT THAT REMAINS?)
Beloved, be truthful with the Lord for your life, your family, your church, your ministry is this the true kingdom life we are living? Are we truly putting our life on the line for our friends, or are we giving to others Cain’s offering instead of Abel's?
Are we picking and choosing how much to give or help others? Are we using human reasoning to give us a “way out” of laying our life down? Are we under the influence of a “religious spirit” that would walk by the man left on the Jericho road?
How much is to much to give, if the standard of pure holy love is “no greater love than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.
I will close this post with the story of when Jesus mother and brothers came to see him. In his answer we find the heart of who are truly in the kingdom of God’s love and are not.
Matthew 12:46-50 The Message (MSG)
Obedience Is Thicker than Blood
46-47 While he was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers showed up. They were outside trying to get a message to him. Someone told Jesus, “Your mother and brothers are out here, wanting to speak with you.”
48-50 Jesus didn’t respond directly, but said, “Who do you think my mother and brothers are?” He then stretched out his hand toward his disciples. “Look closely. These are my mother and brothers. Obedience is thicker than blood. The person who obeys my heavenly Father’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
Are we obeying the will of God when it comes to as I have loved you, love one another?
Starting tomorrow February 1, there is going to increase of the gentle rain fall of God’s pure love that is filled with transformational glory to do this very work even deeper in our hearts.
The world is not going to know we are his disciples by the signs and wonders, or the work we do. They are going to know we are his disciples by the love we have for one another.
So powerful is the steady rain of love that God is going to flood the hearts of his seeking ones, that they will not even recognize themselves anymore as they had known.
A new pure holy love is going to fill the hearts of those who are seeking him that it will be the greatest joy to give up their lives to Jesus, for Jesus and for one another.
Prayer, intercession, and giving to others, sacrificing for others will bring them the greatest joy as Jesus promised, their joy will be filled. It is a new day, the light of God’s holy love is going to transform the whole earth as God transforms his own ones with his glory. It shall be seen upon them.
Do you want this beloved of the Lord? Do you want to be filled with his pure holy love, then make seeking Jesus, His love, as your great quest and vital need until you are continually filled and dwelling in it.
He has sent His Holy Spirit like rain to shed that love, that pure holy love through every fiber of our being. They will know we are His by our love, and by His love flowing in us and out of us.
As I have loved you, LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
