Receiving The Eternal Weight Of Glory!
Word For Today: September 14, 2019: Receiving The Eternal Weight Of Glory!
Beloved, This morning as I awake to seek the Lord, I saw this picture. It is a reminder that no matter how bad things look today, God has made a way our for us.
There are those on the brink this morning and just when you thought you may get there, another bam comes to hit you in the face. You say why this now Lord?
I just got my faith back. I just got things settled in my heart so I can stand and then another bam, punch in the face.
I sure can identify with that in this season right now. Where you thought one miracle you needed was enough now you need 5 more. Are you there with me?
I am not talking about little things, but things that are huge that needs Gods immediate intervention.
Why allow this? Why walk through this so many are saying? It is like you just get your wind back to breathe in faith in God and then you get sucker punched and the wind knocked out of you again.
Yet we are not the first one to face such battles, the apostle Paul testifies of his journey to encourage us not to give up. He encourages us not to faint, quit, or give in to the enemies lies.
He puts the trials and suffering many are enduring now like never before into kingdom of God reality and perspective.
May we embrace his words to us. May they strengthen us today in our inner man. For God is working where can’t see.
All things are working together for our good. Paul didn’t write all things are good, matter of fact what you are facing is horrendous.
Beloved, even what is the most difficult trials we are facing God is working that which is horrendous together for your good.
Beloved we love God with all our hearts and we are called according to his purposes.
But God is taking us into a higher place through these trial. He is working a deeper work of his kingdoms life in us.
He is working a deeper faith and power in us. He is working his overcoming nature in us. You can’t be an overcomer without things to learn to overcome!
So let the words of Paul today minister to your heart. El-Rah, the God who sees has his eyes on you and us. His hand is moving where we can’t see.
We will soon be at the other side in the victory of our Lord with the greatest testimony of His power and love then we have ever had before. Don’t give up now! Don’t give in.
Be strong in the lord today in the power of his might . Put you armor on again, get up and fight the fight of faith.
We will surely Overcome these things because Jesus is in us and he has overcome the world.
2nd Corinthians 4:
5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.
12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken. "Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak,
14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself.
15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Father, I pray strengthen those who are weary today. Lift up those who have just gotten another bam in there face with your love and power.
Lord take us up and lift up our heads above our enemies. Today we seek your face. We put our lives, family, health, finances, relationships, marriages, ministry work in your hands.
We cast all our cares upon you for you care for us. We will not look at the size of the waves or their sounds crashing all around us. By your grace we will keep our eyes on you!
We don’t know what to do in these trial, but our eyes are on you and you alone. By your grace help us today to walk by faith and not by sight.
Blessed are the people that will trust in you lord for they shall never be put to shame. You are our God and our God is God!
So right now, right here, this morning we will give you glory.
We will praise your holy name. We worship you and give all our love to you and you alone. We will trust you Lord!
As Abraham before us grew strong in faith as he gave you glory so will we. We give you all the glory, honor and praise.
We remember you. We remember your faithfulness all our lives. We remember all you have done for us, provided for us, helped us, healed us, delivered us and restored to us.
We will not forget your benefits. We will not forget you are God and your arm is not to short and you have not lost your power.
We remember today how much you love us by sending Jesus to die for our sins to save us.
We remember you sent us your Holy Spirit in us to be our helper right now.
So lord today we bring you a sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.
We put you in remembrance, and we bless your holy name.
Our God is God, our God is God to receive all the glory! We love you Abba. We love you Jesus. We love you Holy Spirit.
We look today unto the hills from where are help comes from. The lord is my helper. The Lord is our shepherd.
The Lord is God and we will praise him. Glory be to you oh King Eternal, our almighty God, the ruler of heaven and earth.
Father, let your kingdom come and your will alone be done in us and for us on earth as it is heaven.
We trust you Abba, and we are expecting you today, the Lord our God to bring us to the other side. Blessed be your name! In Jesus name I pray!
