Word for Today: May 26,2022 USURPING AUTHORITY: THE ROBBER OF KINGDOM LIFE!
Beloved, Understanding God's divine authority in this Kingdom age is critical in this hour.
To come under his headship and complete authority, we must give the totality of our being to be under Jesus headship and authority completely.
He gives us the power of the Holy Spirit to do that very work in us if we will trust him to do it. Power is not authority. Power works in and through authority. Authority is much more than just power.
If we don't understand our King's authority and domain over us, we can't walk in the King's authority and dominion over the earth.
Are we rebelling or usurping God's authority and even the authority He delegates to others?
The Bible says, 105:15 says: Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm. Why? Because they have delegated authority to speak on God's behalf where God will perform the words they speak to come too pass.
One Example of usurping God's authority is found in Numbers 12 MSG Bible
Camp Hazeroth
12 1-2 Miriam and Aaron talked against Moses behind his back because of his Cushite wife (he had married a Cushite woman). They said, “Is it only through Moses that God speaks? Doesn’t he also speak through us?”
God overheard their talk. (Did you notice the God of all creation heard what they are saying? ( Do you think He doesn't hear what we are saying against His delegated leaders? PH comment)
3-8 Now the man Moses was a quietly humble man, more so than anyone living on Earth. God broke in suddenly on Moses and Aaron and Miriam saying, “Come out, you three, to the Tent of Meeting.” The three went out. God descended in a Pillar of Cloud and stood at the entrance to the Tent. He called Aaron and Miriam to him. When they stepped out, he said,
Listen carefully to what I’m telling you. If there is a prophet of God among you,
I make myself known to him in visions, I speak to him in dreams.
But I don’t do it that way with my servant Moses; he has the run of my entire house;
I speak to him intimately, in person, in plain talk without riddles:
He ponders the very form of God.
So why did you show no reverence or respect in speaking against my servant, against Moses?
9 The anger of God blazed out against them. And then he left.
10 When the Cloud moved off from the Tent, oh! Miriam had turned leprous, her skin like snow. Aaron took one look at Miriam—a leper!
11-12 He said to Moses, “Please, my master, please don’t come down so hard on us for this foolish and thoughtless sin. Please don’t make her like a stillborn baby coming out of its mother’s womb with half its body decomposed.”
13 And Moses prayed to God:
Please, God, heal her, please heal her.
14-16 God answered Moses, “If her father had spat in her face, wouldn’t she be ostracized for seven days? Quarantine her outside the camp for seven days.
Then she can be readmitted to the camp.” So Miriam was in quarantine outside the camp for seven days. The people didn’t march on until she was readmitted. Only then did the people march from Hazeroth and set up camp in the Wilderness of Paran.
Miriam and Aaron, Moses natural brother and sister saw a flaw in Moses and the enemy tempted them to USURP His authority based on a truth. Not THE TRUTH, but a truth.
What was that "truth" they hear God just like Moses, but the issue was not about hearing God alone, it was ABOUT GOD'S AUTHORITY AND HOW HE GIVES AUTHORITY.
He explains to them that Moses HAD GREATER AUTHORITY THEN THEY DO, BECAUSE MOSES MET GOD FACE TO FACE AND SAW HIS FORM..
NEARNESS TO GOD, FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD, INTIMACY WITH GOD IS GOD'S MEASUREMENT OF TRUSTING MEN WITH HIS AUTHORITY.
WHEN HE GIVES THAT AUTHORITY, THEY ARE REPRESENTING HIM FULLY AS IF HE WERE HER HIMSELF. THAT IS WHAT JESUS DID.
HE REPRESENTED THE FATHER PERFECTLY AND HE HAD THE FATHER'S AUTHORITY TO DO ONLY WHAT THE FATHER TOLD HIM TO DO, OR SPEAK ONLY WHAT THE FATHER GAVE HIM TO SPEAK. HE DID IT PERFECTLY AS THE SON OF GOD, SON OF MAN AND THE 2ND ADAM.
Hebrews tells us that Jesus has more authority over Mose's authority.
Hebrews 3: 3 So then, brethren, consecrated and set apart for God, who share in the heavenly calling, [thoughtfully and attentively] consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest Whom we confessed [as ours when we embraced the Christian faith].
2 [See how] faithful He was to Him Who appointed Him [Apostle and High Priest], as Moses was also faithful in the whole house [of God].
3 Yet Jesus has been considered worthy of much greater honor and glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house [itself].
4 For [of course] every house is built and furnished by someone, but the Builder of all things and the Furnisher [of the entire equipment of all things] is God.
5 And Moses certainly was faithful in the administration of all God’s house [but it was only] as a ministering servant. [In his entire ministry he was but] a testimony to the things which were to be spoken [the revelations to be given afterward in Christ].
6 But Christ (the Messiah) was faithful over His [own Father’s] house as a Son [and Master of it]. And it is we who are [now members] of this house, if we hold fast and firm to the end our joyful and exultant confidence and sense of triumph in our hope [in Christ].
7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you will hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts, as [happened] in the rebellion [of Israel] and their provocation and [a]embitterment [of Me] in the day of testing in the wilderness,
That is why Jesus is the head of the church. He is husband and we are the Bride. We can not usurp His authority over us. We must come under the unconditional surrender to His authority in every area of our life.
The Lord send us the Holy Spirit as a refiner's fire and fuller soap to remove every thought, imagination, sin and stronghold in us that would usurp His authority in us and also in the delegated authority that He gives us to follow in the 5 fold ministry gifts.
The problem is many 5 fold ministers demand that authority, try to take that authority and teach others to take only what God gives. He gives authority and His power to rule and reign with only those who are one with Him and under his complete authority.
Power is not authority. He gave them power to cast out devils, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers and they did.
But He also said in Matthew chapter 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’…
Power is not authority in the kingdom. The gifts of God are without repentance. Authority is given by God to whom He chooses, when He chooses and why.
In the book of Revelation chapters 2-3, it says clearly to those God will give true Kingdom authority to rule and reign with him. He simply calls them "over-comers" To he that overcomes will I GIVE...
In Revelation chapter 5:8-10 we see a new song being song by the over-comers and this is their testimony of the work of Jesus on the third day in them.
8 And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders [[e]of the heavenly Sanhedrin] prostrated themselves before the Lamb. Each was holding a harp (lute or guitar), and they had golden bowls full of incense (fragrant spices and gums for burning), which are the prayers of God’s people (the saints).
9 And [now] they sing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll and to break the seals that are on it, for You were slain (sacrificed), and with Your blood You purchased men unto God from every tribe and language and people and nation.
10 And You have made them a kingdom (royal race) and priests to our God, and they shall reign [as kings] over the earth!
Kingdom Authority is God's alone! Kingdom Authority is given by God to all "who overcome."
Power is given with the Gospel of Salvation to do works of God. Authority is given when we come under the complete headship of the Lord Jesus Christ and where we can be proven faithful as Moses was faithful, as Jesus was faithful over God's house.
When God grants to men Kingdom Authority do not make it common as Meriam and Arron did. They said, "WE HAVE THE SAME AUTHORITY YOU DO." NO THEY DID NOT.
Because you hear God and walk in the apostolic and prophetic it does not necessarily qualify you for Kingdom authority. You may exercise the power of that office, but they are not the same thing specially for eternity or eternities.
Many are called, but few are chosen, few will pay the price to qualify to be chosen. Many will call themselves apostles in the last days, but they are liars, Jesus said.
There were 5 wise virgins and 5 foolish. They all had the oil of their initial salvation and baptism of the Holy Spirit perhaps, but only the wise HAD EXTRA OIL! THEY HAD THE EXTRA OIL TO GO OUT TO MEET THE BRIDEGROOM WHEN THE BRIDEGROOM CALLED FOR THEM.
THE FOOLISH DID NOT, THEY ASKED FOR SOME OF THEIR EXTRA OIL FROM THE WISE. THE WISE COULD NOT GIVE THEM THAT OIL FOR THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER IN THEMSELVES IF THEY DID. PLUS THAT WAS THEIR PERSONAL OIL OF THE LORD'S DEALING IN THEIR HEART TO QUALIFY THEM TO BE READY.
SO WHEN THE FOOLISH CAME BACK THE DOOR TO ENTER THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB WAS SHUT. THE KEEPER OF THE DOOR SAID, YOU CAN'T COME IN, DEPART FROM ME. THEY CAME TO LATE. THEY DIDN'T PAY THE PRICE IN THE TIME THEY WERE CALLED TO PAY IT.
SO THEY ARE NOT PREPARED TO WALK IN OVERCOMING AUTHORITY OF THE KINGDOM AGE THAT IS NOW UPON US.
AUTHORITY IS NOT THE SAME AS POWER. POWER CAN COME WITHOUT REPENTANCE, AUTHORITY CAN ONLY BE GIVEN TO OVER-COMERS THAT OVERCOME AS JESUS DID.
I WILL CLOSE WITH REVELATION 3: 21 21 He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne.
