Word For Today: July 21, 2020: “Those of you without sin.”

Beloved of the Lord,

Today, I am overwhelmed even more with the extravagant love of Jesus. As I was seeking the Lord, he reminded of his word of power he gave to the woman caught in the act of adultery.

The scene was burned in my heart as if I was there, and I was in tears at God’s majestic overwhelming love and mercy.

I can’t even imagine what it was like to be there as the Son of God released the Father’s heart of His love and mercy He demonstrated here to set her entirely free.

This woman was caught in the very act of adultery and the Law demanded her death. But the one who is greater than the law, the Law Giver Himself saw her repented heart and her great need.

He knew one act of mercy can transform a life that deserves death and punishment.

Her life was never the same. With one sentence of the Father who made her, loved her, and gave her mercy every single person ready for revenge had to drop their stones.

She didn’t go to a doctor to deal with her issues( which can help at times) she went to God Himself.

With one sentence spoken by the Word of God Himself it transformed this sinner-adulterer into a saint of God.

Jesus spoke another word as well. woman where are those who would condemn you?

Do we see people the way Jesus does? Could we ever hear God speak to us his words of mercy that triumph over judgment?

Well we did on the cross to all of us who are sinners, father forgive them they know now what they do!

How powerful is the blood of Jesus. So powerful that God remembers our sins no more as far as the east is from the west.

Then he says as I have forgive you forgive those who trespass against you. He said if we do not forgive “totally” as we were forgiven, the we too won’t be forgiven.

Do you want God to hold your sins against you by holding them against another? Not me!

It has been hard at times for what has been said and done to us, but I always remember I was forgiven and given mercy. Perhaps many of you can relate to that, but there is NO OTHER CHOICE, LOVE FORGIVES PERIOD!

JUST IN CASE YOU ARE NOT SURE I SUGGEST READING 1ST CORINTHIANS 13 FROM THE AMPLIFIED VERSION. IT IS A QUITE POWERFUL DESCRIPTION OF PERFECTED LOVE AND HOW LOVE SEES OTHERS.

If there was a group of Christian psychologist present at this time in the picture above and they heard Jesus say, “woman where are those who condemn you and heard her reply, there are none, I am sure they would run to Jesus and say, “Jesus do you know what you are doing? Do you know what she did and capable of doing?”

Jesus is God and the Father alone knew this woman’s heart. When Jesus spoke the words the Father gave him to speak, they come in power. He said, woman neither do I condemn you.

THOSE WORDS CHANGED HISTORY. THEY CHANGED HER LIFE, THOSE WHO WERE THERE, AND WE ARE STILL READING ABOUT IT TODAY!

Beloved, JESUS was the only one without sin and HE ALONE could cast that stone and put her to death, but the Father and Jesus chose to give mercy’s grace she did not deserve to set her free forever.

MERCY TRIUMPHED OVER JUDGMENT!

This is the same mercy he gave us from the cross to forgive us and to change us, and free us in our time of need.

He gave her one instruction, “get up on your way and sin no more.” She never did that sin again. His mercy transformed their life, and his mercy today can transform yours no matter what you have done or where you have been.

Mercy triumphs over judgment. You just have to repent and turn to Jesus and accept his sacrifice for your sins and confess them to him and ask for true forgiveness.

I did that on April 11, 1985 and I have not been the same since. For the first time in my life I knew I was forgiven, and loved perfectly.

That love and mercy has been the anchor for my life and family and we have needed that every day of our lives and we still do.

But for God where would we all be? The Bible says, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Yet while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us and rose from the grace to save all who call upon his name to be saved.

It has not been easy these 35 years. Honestly I don’t even know how we made it through all we went through except by his his love, grace and mercy.

I have not arrived yet, God is still working in me, but I am eternally grateful for his love, mercy, and grace for all my family and Donna’s family and our family of God.

God is Love. God is a consuming fire. In this day and hour we are in we must be anchored in His love, know his love, and live in it if we are going to stand in the hour to come.

Love never fails and God is love. In Christ the solid rock we will stand all other ground is sinking sand.

Lord, thank you for your love. Thank you for your mercy. My pastor friend said Lord we deserve judgment but you give us mercy.

Thank you that your mercy toward me, and my family, and all your family is new every morning. We need more mercy and grace to stand in this hour Lord.

We look to you, we put our trust and hope in you alone. No man can save us or help us but YOU. ONLY YOU LORD, ONLY YOU!

I just want to say how much I love you and need you for all of us today who are seeking your face. Apart from you we can do nothing.

My hope tonight is that you who have begun this good work in us will be faithful to complete it in us even now the unfolding day of Christ.

Father to those who need forgiveness and mercy like this woman caught in the very act, speak a word to those who would condemn them: those of you without sin cast the first stone.

Let the Mary’s and the Mark’s run to your feet for mercy, healing, and deliverance . As you did for her let his word find those who need that same mercy tonight and meet you as their Lord and Savior.

Thank you for saving us and all those who read this post. In Jesus name!
